TerraTrike has decided to close our retail showroom to focus on expanding the brand and providing even better product and customer service to our customers.
We conducted a lengthy search and have decided to partner with West Michigan Bike & Fitness to take over our local retail business because of their reputation within the community and dedication to the customer.
WMBF has been in business since 1937 and have 3 store locations, extended retail hours, all models and accessories in stock and qualified sales staff and mechanics trained by TerraTrike. You can expect the same level of customer service from them as you have received from us over the years.

Port Congestion Surcharge to begin.
Starting on March 11, 2015 there will be a USD$90.00 surcharge added to the shipping charges of each new trike. This surcharge is due to port congestion all along the west coast forcing TerraTrike to import our product through temporary alternate channels.
There has been a significant amount of port congestion caused by work slowdowns during lengthy contract negotiations between the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) and the Pacific Maritime Association (PMA). This congestion is currently affecting all U.S. west coast ports including the ports we use. While a tentative agreement has been reached, the far-reaching effects of the months-long slowdown is still very present and is causing lengthy delays in getting product. TerraTrike is committed to providing our trikes to customers this upcoming riding season and have successfully developed alternate shipping channels to do so. Unfortunately, this does not come without additional cost. Therefore, we must add a surcharge of USD$90.00 to each new trike that is shipped on or after March 11, 2015 and will have to continue until our supply chain can revert to its previous channels. At this time it is impossible to say when the ports will catch up with their backlog, but when it does we will discontinue this surcharge.
With great riding weather just around the corner rest assured that TerraTrike is doing everything possible to have your next trike available. We greatly appreciate your support and enthusiasm for our brand during this unfortunate supply chain issue.

TerraTrike announced the return of its annual “Bag and Flag” promotion. From now through January 15th, any customer who purchases a new TerraTrike either directly through the company or from one of their dealers will receive a free TerraTrike seat bag and safety flag: a $70 retail value.
In order to participate in the promotion, customers must fill out the redemption form found here and attach or mail in a copy of their receipt showing where the trike was purchased. Once verified, the accessories will be mailed to them free of charge. Customers ordering direct from the company will have their bag and flag included with their trike delivery.
“We have 5 different models that fit any type of riding, the most comfortable fully adjustable seat on the market and a lifetime warranty on the frames with prices starting at $899,” says Director of Marketing Jeff Yonker.
“We hope this incentive gives customers who may have been on the fence about purchasing a TerraTrike this holiday season a reason to do so. There are even some new exciting models to choose from as well,” said Yonker.

The Dealer of the Year award has been given every year at Dealer Day, and is decided by the TerraTrike staff based on many factors.
“Every year, our dealers set the bar higher and higher,” said Marshall Randall, manager of the dealer department at TerraTrike. “We look at customer reviews, sales figures, innovative practices, and community benefit as just some of the factors for selecting the Dealer of the Year. Laid Back Cycles were the obvious stand out this year.” Laid Back Cycles was also the number one selling TerraTrike dealer as well.

TerraTrike was featured in the Wall Street Journal article titles "These Aren’t Tykes on Little Bikes: A Mature Market Adopts the Tricycle".
"Tricycles are so hot that some of them are selling for thousands of dollars. But the new three-wheelers aren’t designed for tykes. They’re for grown-ups.
Recumbent tricycles—reclined, cushy versions of the three-wheelers many tooled around on as children—appeal to people of a certain age by being gentler on the body than traditional bikes, and more stable than two-wheel recumbents."
Las Vegas magician Penn Jillette of the duo Penn & Teller is an owner of a pink TerraTrike tandem and was quoted "You feel like a superstar, but you look like a dweeb,” he says. “People aren’t used to trikes, but I love mine. I feel like [Jimi] Hendrix when I’m riding it, and I don’t care what I look like."
