TerraTrike’s Unprecedented Growth Forces Move To A New State Of The Art Building

Coming off another year of unprecedented growth, recumbent trike manufacturer TerraTrike has moved to a newly renovated, state of the art building to accommodate a need for more space.

“Our rapid growth over the years forced us to start looking for a larger facility.” said CFO Wayne Oom. “We were fortunate to find a place that was such a great fit.” The new 14,000 square foot building boasts a 6,000 square foot warehouse, a larger showroom, more offices as well as a photography studio and prototype lab. The facility uses low energy appliances, fluorescent lights and recycled materials as well as state of the art technology throughout.

“We are so proud of this new building,” stated Marketing Director Jeff Yonker. “We now have a home that not only reflects the personality of TerraTrike and our staff, but will help us be more efficient and grow over the upcoming years. We’ve incorporated all of the wish-list things that everyone wanted.”

The moving process took several months and was completed just as dealers started arriving for the annual TerraTrike Dealer Day Extravaganza. “We were still touching up paint minutes before they showed up” said Yonker.

The location is now closer to the Ford International Airport and is on a lot that will allow for future expansion if needed. Plans for a paved outdoor test track through the adjoining woods is in the works for the spring.

You can visit the new showroom at 4460 40th St in Grand Rapids Michigan during normal business hours and view additional photos on their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/TerraTrike.
