These are awesome – critical safety feature.

Critical safety feature: last year down hill I was tired, lost my concentration, feet slipped off. Surprised my legs weren’t broken from how far they bent back.
1) FAR safer.
2) No more chain knocked off multiple times per ride. Leg doesn’t bump the chain anymore.
3) Ride farther very first ride.
4) No more sore hips.
5) No more fear of pushing farther (when tired, feet sleep easier).
14 XXwide- these fit fine.
I took all the straps off.
Totally unneeded. Hard to put on.
You should make pedals like this standard or at least a low-cost upgrade.
I do have a complaint. For such an important safety feature & a great feature for larger riders (who you market to), these are WAY too expensive.I bought them for half the price. I have bought other things from TerraTrike, I appreciate you & know you need to make money to stay in business, but such huge markups on critical safety equipment is not good.
Thanks for listening.
No more “foot burn”

With our new pedals, my wife and I wear our most comfortable shoes. I rode my TTRover for 3.5 hr. and 27.5 mi. on Sunday with no “foot burn” or pain of any kind. Our SPD’s are history. We found the ankle straps and balance weights unnecessary complications and removed them.
Large enough for wide feet

I wear a 14 EEEEEE shoe and have always had the outer edge of my foot hanging off the end of the pedal, causing a tendency for foot twist with heavy pedaling. My wife and I got these pedals for our Ramblers, and my feet are now supported across their entire width. We removed the counterweights and straps and just use the bare pedals. We left the strap attachment bar on the inside edge of each pedal, which serves as a stop to keep our feet aligned. These pedals also moved my wife’s leg outward just enough that her calf no longer rubs on the chain.
Strapped Heel Support Pedal

Excellant product. Just what I was looking for. I wear a size 14 EE running show while triking, and it just fits. I had a stroke in 2006, bought the trike in late 2010. I used a flat support for my right foot, a toe clip with a velcro strap, and another strap to hold my heel in place. With this device I only use the toe strap and never the heel strap.
Totally worth it!

I cannot say enough about these pedals. My wife is diabetic and has no feeling at all up to her knees. She could not ride a bike for many years because her feet slipped off of pedals. These pedals, the Rover we purchased and the bike kit motor are perfect for her. She can now ride her Rover and her feet don’t slip off of the pedals. Her feet are totally secure. If her legs give out she can just flip on the motor! Thank you Terratrike for a wonderful product. Finally a safe way to exercise!!!!
