Ian Sims of Greenspeed

It is with great sadness that we were informed yesterday of the passing of a true legend in the recumbent industry. Ian Sims of Greenspeed was just simply a good guy to know. He was always encouraging to our company, and to me personally.  Although technically a competitor in the marketplace, he always made us feel much more like colleagues. His trike designs are legendary. He paved the way for all of the current recumbent trike companies. His gentle demeanor and welcoming smile were always wonderful whenever we crossed paths at industry events. Although Ian had been through a rough stretch of health lately, he kept riding right to the end.

I would like to encourage everyone to go out for a ride today in honor of Ian Sims. I’m sure he would smile at the thought of all of us enjoying some fresh air in his honor.
